A global biotech organization struggled with fragmented data systems, unclear ownership, and heavy reliance on data specialists—leading to slow access, duplicated work, and low trust in data. I led the UX workstream within a large-scale data transformation, defining the product experience strategy for a self-service data platform. Working closely with cross-functional teams, I translated complex backend systems into an intuitive experience that enables independent data discovery while balancing accessibility with governance.

The platform significantly reduced time-to-access for approved datasets and minimized duplication of work by enabling independent data use across teams.
